Left Racice after a short breakfast - still strange not being able to communicate with the locals. The young waiter in the restaurant at the race course yesterday spoke reasonable English - which, if it can be believed,  he learned by communicating with English speaking customers alone.

The weather is consistantly cold but with less rain today. Claudia, the world cyclist I've already mentioned, is "training on  the job" but she will get fit once she's on the road in, let's say, Turkey and on her way to Iran. 🙂

Actually I wanted to take the tram to the Old Town of Prague, but after setting up the tent and doing some cleaning up I noticed a sign at the campground bar saying that there would be a jazz evening here tonight. Since it was already 7 pm I decided to stay and listen while having a local meal with a Czech Sausage ...  The band consists of two guitars and a lady's very strong and jazzy voice. They played classics like take five, summertime, Moanin', Georgia, jazzy instrumentals ....

Speaking of Czech Sausage: Since I've been on the road all day I got hungry again and began to scrutinize the menu for some sort of salad. I asked the bartender to translate my wishes to the cook but she said: "I don't think he'll change the menu. I was shocked myself, but it's mainly fatty meat, sausages and potatoes . Very Czech!" Then I saw a bowl of oranges next to her on the counter. So I asked if she would sell me one ... well, no, she said, they're for cocktails  only but she'll ask the boss. .... So beware to bring veggies and fruit if you ever go to Prague, but for now I'm still hoping ...

Tomorrow it'll be the sightseeing tour then and after that I'll head off for Bavaria ...
